Problem

The standard integrated lighting with a camera will light a circular area. This can leave the corners of square parts or products poorly lit which directly affects quality control as any flaws or defects in the corners may not be detected in the camera’s image.

Solution

To overcome this limitation you can used a specialised lighting solution to ensure that the whole surface is fully lit. A modular system which allows you to create the right shape lighting will give you the best results, such as LED bar lights.

LED Bar lights: Using bar lights to create parallel lighting, or combined with angle brackets to create a complete square lighting zone, will enable you to make the shape which perfectly fits your work-piece and light it so that your camera can do its job properly.
